Dr Allan Roy Sekeitto is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic and Arthroplasty Surgeon. He completed his registrar training and obtained his Master in Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) at the University of the Witwatersrand where he stayed on to further pursue a fellowship in Arthroplasty. At the London Health Sciences Centre and University of Western Ontario, he completed a fellowship in Adult Hip & Knee Reconstruction in parallel with his Masters of Science (Surgery) with a focus on total knee arthroplasty kinematics.

 

He is trained in all aspects of knee and hip joint replacement surgery, including primary, revision, sepsis, modern minimally invasive approaches to hip replacement and use of various modern technological modalities.

 

He holds professional memberships with the South African Orthopaedic Association, South African Arthroplasty Society, South African Medical Association and the Canadian Orthopaedic Association.

 

He has published and presented various academic papers both locally and internationally with interest in all aspects of arthroplasty. He remains academically active in all spheres as a sessional consultant at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital Arthroplasty Unit and lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand.
